Persian
artists brought the art of carpet making to India. Humanyun,
the first mogul Shah brought with him Tao of the leading
Persian court painters & a love of art &
craftsmanship. His son Akbar (1556-1606), one of the
greatest mogul emperor, in whose reign all arts & crafts
flourished. patronized various workshops for artistic
products, mainly carpets. The art of carpet making
flourished during Akbar's reign & blossomed during the
period of his grandson the builder of the Tajmahal

Shahjahan,
who got developed some carpets on the floral theme used in
the Tajmahal. Some of the original creations that were
developed in the 16 & 17 centuries now find their home in
many renowned museums of the world like Metropolitan
museum of art in New York, Victoria & Albert hall museum
in London, musee des tissues in lyon, Los Angeles county
museum of art in California. At cottage industry we
try to recreate those wonderful pieces of art in various
sizes & colors.
